Hey,
I have a problem with my multitouch ability on my SP. Basically, when I hold one finger to the screen, then try to tap with another finger, it won't recognise the 2nd finger which is tapping the screen. To recognise it, I have to hold the second finger on the screen too, for a short time period (maybe 0.15 secs). This just makes it impossible to play games like Fifa 14, MC4, Shadow Gun and others...
I used "Multitouch Tester", an app from playstore, and this confirms the problem.
At first I was convinced that it was a hardware problem and I had to change the touch screen, since I tried everything, like scripts, touch boosting apps, enabling/disabling settings, flashing different roms like cyanogenmod 11, restoring a previous backup that was working fine and force closing all the apps except the ones necessary for the phone to run.
But then, I realised that this multitouch issue only happens 30+ minutes after I power up the phone. For example, if I turn the phone on and start playing Shadow Fight, the multitouch works just fine. The problem appears after I close the app AND after a time period, let's say, 30 minutes.
I've dropped the phone a few times, but it was no big deal, and it kept working properly...
I have never had a similar problem in the 7 months I have owned the phone before.
Can anyone help?
Thanks in advance
You might want to contact your local Xperia Care
Hey, thanks for the reply.
I currently live in Cyprus, and there are no Sony Support Centers nearby...
I want to confirm if this is a hardware problem or not, because it works fine for the first few minutes. If I contact Sony through email, they'll just offer a screen replace. But I want to know what is the problem and if it can be fixed without replacing the screen.
By the way I have made a contract with my local selling store, and I get the first screen replace for free, so money is not a problem currently
