xperia t update

i hooked up my xperia t to pc companion and it said there was an update available, however once the update was complete i still had 4.1.2 sony say that it could be damaged software or that i should wait until i get an over the air update. im confused as to what is going on, could anyone shed some light im in the uk and im on the three network. thanks guys

You can to contact 3, as its up to your carrier/network to apprve and release the update
