So I bought a refurbished Xperia Z (Android 4.4.4 KitKat) a couple of days ago. I put my 4G sim card in and i saw only the "E" sign on top. I have tried everything i have read in this forum, but i can't update my Xperia Z via PCC, or via the phone itself, or repair the problem using anything else. Please help, this is driving me crazy. (And sorry for any spelling mistakes, english is not my native language)
I've seen this before, things to check
1 if your phone its compatible with your carrier's 4G LTE bands
2 Sometimes your carrier must enabled 4G on your account and/or add the IMEI of your phone
3 if the SIM card its old you might need to get a new MICRO SIM card
4 make sure that you have the correct APN settings
Did you checked this with your carrier for any 2G issues? also, do you have the correct APN settings?
Hi,
I'm not sure if you have tried to perform a software repair using PC Companion via PC Companion? If not, could you give it a go to see if this can help?
In PC Companion you press start on Support Zone > Start on Update the phone/tablet software > Repair phone/tablet (the blue clickable link in the message) > Follow these steps without having your device connected to the PC.
Follow the instruction that appears in the program and do not connect your device until this guide tells you how to connect it. You can find step by step guide (with pictures) here:

Apparently, i could not repair the phone either. Pc Companion said there was no software for my phone. I am really getting tired of this thing. Do you guys know any other way to install software on my phone ?
Could you send me your IMEI-number via PM and I can look closer into it:
