Just wanted to address the unfortunate large amount of people complaining about the camera on the Z1.

Please invest some time to learn and undertsnd how to use the manual options on the camera app. The pictures i've been able to capture with this phone are exceptional, quality is fine as long as you position your self corectly, and adjust the settings to match the senario - and no i dont mean auto mode or 8mp SCN options...

just too many people whining and moaning due to lack of understanding and knowledge. Perhaps an iPhone is a better suited device if you wish to roll your face over the phone and expect things to either look nice or not at all.

I recently bought the Z1, and im really unhappy with the camera. Full screen with only 8 mpx and my iphone 4 took better photos than this ones 21 mpx mode is capable of. Will there be any updates for the cameras firmware or..?

quick answer, the Xperia Z1's camera its far better than the iphone 4's camera, its all about settings.

Indeed the iPhone's 4 camera is the same camera sensor in the Xperia Arc/Arc S

Had the Z1 since october until now.

Overall i'm happy with the phone and it works great but one thing annoys me!

Does anyone else feel that it does not live up to what it says?

Been testing and comparing next to other phones and i Am pretty sure that picture quality is a lot better on other phones such as:

Iphone 4, S4, HTC one and so on...

Just me or anyone else feel they have the same problem?
