Auto switching between wifi 2.4GHz and 5GHz

My Xperia XZ premium phone has got a mind of itself and keeps switching back and forth from 2.4 and 5 GHz at home. It's causing problems when I'm playing games and connection keeps dropping! How can I stop that auto switching?

Thanks!

Create 2 separate wifi networks (2.4- and 5Ghz) from your routers settings and give them unique ssid names. Then remove 2.4Ghz network from the phone, and connect to 5Ghz network . This will force the phone use only 5Ghz network.

Yep, as above, it's a common problem with these joined network routers, my virgin superhub was awful until I split the bands
