Hi,
I just received my Xperia XZ Premium and so far I love it except for one really nagging issue. When it comes to the CALL AUDIO designation in the bluetooth settings, if I am wearing my smart watch which also uses the CALL AUDIO feature, and I get in my car, my car will not connect to my phone. If I disable the call audio feature on my paired watch, then my car will recognize my phone..but then I can't accept calls on my watch when connected to bluetooth. I then have to reselect car audio on the paired smartwatch when I get out of the car so calls can come through on the watch. I hope this is making sense. It seems I can only have either my watch OR my car use the CALL AUDIO feature in the bluetooth settings, and not both.
I never had this problem when I had my smartwatch with my galazy s7 edge.
Is this a known issue? Is there resolution to this issue? Please help!
Hi @Topher0321,
is this what you want to do?
1. Use smart watch for call audio when outside the car
2. When inside the car you want all sound (music, call, ...) routed to the car's audio system
3. Back outside the car you want the smart watch to take call audio again
May I ask what car model and year you have?

Yes, exactly.
I have a 2014 infiniti q50.
I just want to say how disappointed I am with the lack of support from Sony. I responded to the question asked of me by support three weeks ago and never got a response back. Sony, if you are reading this, I have returned my Sony phone and went back to Samsung. I was really excited to make the jump to Sony with your new XZP, but your lack of support to help me with the issues I was having cause me to lose faith in you and your product. If you want to have an increased mobile phone presensce here in the US, you're going to need to do better.
I looked SO much forward in getting my Xperia XZ premium, unfortunantly I quickly became EXTREAMELY disappointed.
I cannot use my phone with my carkit in my Mazda from 2016 - works perfect with my Iphone 7, Galaxy S7(Android 7.0), Xperia X(Android 7.1.1) - but NOT with XZ premium(not much of a premium feeling when pairing fails).
I called Sony Support, they tried to play the card "it is not our product it is all the others....." and "....it is due to Android 7.x.x that is fails"...... I have been working with Bluetooth development for many years and I know that it is complex, however I also know that the customer don't care who's fault it is and FACT is that it works for all the others, so SONY please just make it work with the tweaks needed and give your customers what that need.
My Xperia XZ premium is in my drawer and I am now using Iphone 7 again - there are no excuses, it just works.
My situation as well.
Got the new phone in August. Bluetooth phone pairs with my car but no audio playback.
Waited for Android 8 to come out as this was going to fix it apparently.
Updated.
No fix.
My colleagues new Samsung works, I phones work. My wife's old Sony... Works. My Old Sony z5..... Works.
Brand new xzp. Not working. No audio playback.
Sony better realise it's far more likely people will change a phone that does not work than a 2 yr old Mercedes.
