My Xperia XZ3 identified a text as potential spam today (correctly as it turns out). Impressed, I mentioned this on Facebook and an Apple fundamentalist friend went off about it: on iOS who you call/calls you is private, Android means "3rd parties" have your data, only "the phone company" know which numbers are spam etc.
Tl;dr what is the source of Android's caller id data? Is it so dreadful in comparison with Apple's? I believe they have a similar capability.
