Hello @StudioMad,
which phone do you have exactly?
Have you tried to force-closing the app or deactivating then deactivating it again?

Did you try to adjust how sensitive Google Assistant is to “Hey Google"?
You can try the steps in the following link: https://support.google.com/assistant/answer/9712065

Take a look at my thread about this too, I have escalated this to the Sony Technical Support team and am persistently chasing this issue.
I bought a brand new XZ3 this August so am not pleased the pre-installed software misbehaves like this on Android 10, it's unacceptable.

Have you tried troubleshooting the device?

Troubleshooting in the Sony Support app? It's just a readme guide without helpful information on something like troubleshooting the built-in Google Assistant. The microphone is working fine for calls and if I manually open the assistant using the home button on the XZ3 it picks up voice perfectly.
Already factory reset, software repaired using Xperia Companion, using safe mode to uninstall Google app updates and delete Google voice match data + enrolment on my Google account.
I went for a drive earlier and it was an absolute pain not having the hands-free Google Assistant working there, truly a health and safety hazard. I am still waiting to hear back from the Sony specialist team and the Google specialist teams looking into this, I can't use this phone for the foreseeable without the hands-free working, it's not even that old of a phone!

Hi @ROBYER1 I know you've tried every other possible solution they have out there, pardon me but I was asking about @StudioMad 's issue.

Yep pretty much same here, and the issue will probably never be fixed.
Its a shame the support and fixes seems to be lacking, like patch info as well, and the no ASHA support for hearing imparied.
I love my Experia 1 ii but the lack of fixes and a feature like ASHA is bloody frustrating to say the least. Especially when one payed a big price for a flagship phone..

Guess it's a good thing Google featured the accessibility feature on any Android device.
