Hi @azzido, I'm sorry to hear about this and I understand this must be frustrating.
I just tested this on a Xperia XZ with the latest software update and when I received a call and the phone was locked I got the option to either answer or decline the call. However when the phone was unlocked and I was using it I only got a small notification at the top of the screen with answer or decline as options and I could continue using the phone without answering or declining the call.
I'd recommend that you reboot your phone in safe mode to see if there is any difference when you receive a call.
Let me know how it works in safe mode!

Hi,
I'm also facing the same issue and it seems the device is blocked and it's not able to receive calls.
The reboot resolve the problem but is's absolutely not a nice solution.
It seems the problem appeared with Android 7.0 upgrade.

Hi @Bob117, sorry to hear about this.
Do I understand correctly that it was working correctly when the phone was rebooted in safe mode? If that is correct, one of your downloaded applications is the cause of this behaviour so make sure that all applications are updated to the latest version in the Google Play store.
I'm afraid that there is no easy way to find out which application(s) are the cause of this but I'd recommend that you start uninstalling the most recent applications that you have installed if you still experience this behaviour after you have updated all your applications.
Let me know if that helps!
Hallo,
I have the same Problem i've used reboot Device with a save mode! but still having the same Problem i should unlock the device and then drop down notifications list at the top and see who is calling me !! i already formated the device but still the problem existed.
Thanks
Hi @Mado_007, sorry to hear that.
Are you also using an Xperia XZ or do you have a different device? You can try and reset the data for the phone application. To do that, go to Settings > Apps & notifications > See all apps/App info > Phone > Storage > Clear data > OK.
In the same menu (don't tap on storage) you have "Notifications" tap on this one and then tap on "Default" > Behaviour and make sure this is set to "Make sound and pop up on screen".
Let me know if that helps!
Hi
My problem is evertime when somobody trying to call me there is just one signal then voicemail. I tried a reboot a phone, check all settings and first incoming call is fine but then again voicemail.
Hi @Bart27, welcome to our forum!
That must be annoying, but at least the call is noticed by the device.
The Xperia answering machine is not available in the Xperia XZ, so the voice mail that the call is transferred to is the one from your operator, so get in touch with them and ask them to turn it off, or have them adjust how many seconds should pass before the call is transferred to their voice mail.
Let me know if that helps!
