Hello everyone!

We tried out a new concept where we mainly let our community assist each other with product/feature questions in the Xperia XZ Premium board and it was a success! So, let's keep it rolling.

The purpose of this thread is to ask anything that you wish to know about the Xperia XZ1 Compact; other users owning an Xperia XZ1 Compact and forum staff will do our best to reply!

As an example, prior to purchasing an Xperia XZ1 Compact, you may be wondering if someone has tried out a specific third party app or feature on their XZ1 Compact, and could tell you a bit more about the compatibility and functionality as the app may important in your daily life. Staff and other users can come in and reply and let you know how it works!

The goal of this thread is to help each other out as a community. We will try to moderate this thread so that any new threads with a fitting question will instead be moved here, while we of course keep support threads the way they are now.

Please extend the super slow motion duration. It was 6 sec before now only 3 sec. It's not enough especially for longer movements. It ruins the whole magic. Who change the good things there everytime?

Hi @ghencea-RO ;

I think It's not possible to extend the super slow motion time (unless I suppose using a lower video resolution) because of the sensor memory hardware limitation.

But how it was possible to record 6 sec before and now half? The hardware is the same.

Because they are recorded at diferent video resolutions.

About 3sec>Full HD

About 6sec>HD

And you don't have only 3 sec now, you have both options available now, you can choose between Full HD or HD (that is why I said that for increasing the recording time maybe only going to a even lower resolution).

Just to be sure tested it now in my XZ Premium (same firmware) and the super slow motion in HD is still recording about 6sec time.

And I think you might be confusing, there never was a 6 sec recording in Full HD, the option to record in Full HD was only given after.

True. My bad. In HD it is 5 sec.

When I get apps notifications, my phone's screen doesn't turn on (I still hear the sound thought).

It only turns on when I get notification from a certain app.

Is there a way to change that? Kinda bad to have to press the home button every time I get something to know what it is.

@___fer___ , you need to go to the notifications settings of each app and change the behavior to "Apear on screen and.."
