firmware: customised Hk vs customised UK

Hi everyone. I've just got a brand new ultra. I updated it to 4.4.4(108).I've found the firmware is customised Hong Kong. How different is it from customised U.K.?. Some of the Sony apps were missing, but the phone is working really well. I know if I unlock the boot loader I will lose the DRMs, but would flashing the Sony U.K.Rom put the DRMs back on?. Thanks for any input.

Flashing using Flashtools will not delete the DRM keys - Unlocking the bootloader will - HK has banned I believe some Google apps - If your bootloader is locked and you know how to use Flashtools then visit XDA

Edit:

If your bootloader is unlocked then Flashing a stock .ftf firmware file will not re-lock your bootloader nor will it restore your DRM keys - Once they are gone they are gone for good unless you achieved root and backed up your TA partition

Thanks for the reply. I'll look at that this weekend.Looks a better option than going the EMMA route. Google apps are working fine on the phone, so may leave it for now. Thanks again Thommo
