getting hot quickly

i  bought xperia z1 4-5 days ago 

this phone is good but if i brouse web for 10 min it get super hot  and even when calling it get hot

SOME CLARIFICATION OF WHAT IS CONSIDERED 'NORMAL' WOULD BE USEFUL. MY Z1 CPU REACHED OVER 60C WHEN PLAYING NFS MOST WANTED FOR ABOUT 10 MINS LAST NIGHT. THE BATTERY TEMP WAS FINE BUT I NEED TO KNOW IF THAT CPU TEMP IS NORMAL OR NOT

It is really very annoying that the experia z1 gets extreme heat on the phone body while working eventhough. I did not play games or videos. I have seen lot of guys have same issue with this heat. It is so hard to touch and work at all
We have paid lot of money trusting song's product and it is really a shame to have a situation like this. Please do needfull to sort out the issue

No worries. Phohe will warn you or will turn off particular application that generates heat. If you are not satisfied take the issue to the authorised service center.

The phone CPU was running at the top speed most of the time when the phone was being used according to CPU Spy app so I suspect there is something wrong with the current firmware.

ps. Just to clarify I have not installed any other apps (except the one mentioned above) to my z1 and software repair did not solve the problem.

I bought 2 of these supposed to be the best of Sony, and both phones have the same problems. Camera overheated in 2-3 minutes. I thought camera is supposed to be the selling point for this phone.
Wifi signal reception is weaker than iPhone 4, Samsung S, S2, Note1, Tab1, and Note 10.1. What's a disappointment!

We are already almost end of October, but no fix! Camera still overheating, Phone still too hot on the top part, Wifi still weaker than everything else on the market. Best of Sony!

I'm having the same problem. i was just playing tetris and the phone started heating up really quickly. I dont think having to root your phone is an acceptable solution and this just adds to the list of problems with the phone.

Have you updated to the latest firmware? 

I did notice my Z1 getting pretty hot (never overheating, but hot) when using the camera etc for long periods.. but im on the latest firmware now and i was using the camera for a good period of time last night and the phone barely heated up.

I've yet to test a game to see if its still a problem with games though.

I got my xperia z1 on 6th of this month. On the second day i noticed its flashing a message that the phone battery is heating up while charging the phone, playing games, browsing, normal phone surfing. I can't play any game more than 10 mins. Can't use it to record videos and camera clicks for long because of heating issues. Please let me know what should i do to solve this issue.
