Horizontal lines on display, Z5 Premium

I bought my Z5 Premium about a week ago, and today when I unlocked it the screen began to show rows of black pixels horizontally across the entire portrait of the display. 

Is this a manufacturer defect ?


Trying the software repair on the device software.

Ran diagnostics for the display and sensor, both passed. 

I'm quite disappointed 😕

take a screenshot > trasnfer it to a computer or another phone > if you don't see the lines then it's mostly a hardware issue, you should contact your Local support

Does this happen often with the Z series?

I just upgraded from a Z2 and had it for 2 years without any problems.

I haven't seen it as a recurrent issue.

It seems to be a hardware issue, just tried texting and uploading an image, they both appear fine on other devices. 

Quite disappointed with this, hopefully this doesn't happen often.

Yeah, ive got to expedite to Sony for inspection. This just bothers me because aside from bringing it home its never been out of my house.

Did Sony solve anything for you? same thing happened to me, such expensive phones yet so fragile....
