I dont know if my Sony Xperia Z3 support My Xperia Theft Protection?

My question is this : I have read in internet and searched about if Sony Xperia Z3 has integrated My Xperia Theft Protection in the bootloader of the phone, because searching I've found information about this topic but only for Sony Xperia C4, Sony Xperia Z4 tablet and Sony Xperia M4 models. My question is if with the Android version upgrade since Android 5.0.1 Lolipop to Android 5.1.1 actual version My Xperia Theft Protection was integrated in the bootloader of Sony Xperia Z3 or is only for Sony Xperia C4, Sony Xperia Z4 tablet and Sony Xperia M4 models because they were manufactured after Sony Xperia Z3 model and are more new ??

The Xperia Z3 support myXperia but not MXTP like the other devices, it's only available on the other devices that you have mentioned.

Hi @Rares22,

As @uliwooly has pointed out Xperia Z3 do support My Xperia but not My Xperia Theft Protection.

In the past i had an Xperia SP, activated My Xperia and realised that anyone could shut down the device from power button despite i had a PIN code on for the screen.

i emailed Sony and they replied that in order for the service to work, GPS must be on.

When i said to them, so why do you let the device to be shut down anyway, they just said that this is how it works.

So don't bother yourself with this. More of an "impressive" gadget app than of a real safety feature.
