Xperia Z3 Camera button does not work.

Hi.

In my new Z3 I can not use the side trigger.
I can start the camera though, but does not take pictures when pressing.
it only flashes and makes a sound, without a store image.

Try performing a system repair using PC Companion as this will often fix issues - This will factory reset your phone and erase all data so best to backup before you begin

Switch off your phone and unplug from Pc (Hold volume up and power for around 10 seconds)
Start PC Companion and select Support zone then Update my phone/tablet then in Blue Repair my phone/tablet and follow the on screen instructions - When prompted connect your phone still switched off holding volume down or back button - This should start the repair or reformat process

If you are using Windows 8/8.1 or a 64bit operating system then adjust the settings for PC Companion and run in compatibility mode and chose Windows 7 or XP

Before you try the software repair,check in camera settings if quick launch is enabled. Also, there are 2 steps to take a picture: first focus then press a little more to shoot.

I can only open the app. I was swimming with camera. Is that the reason? With Camera Zoom FX the button works. Is this hardware or software problem. And how can I stop the internal camera app to work only with Camera Zoom?!

I fixed it I got the same prblm with my z3,
It's a software prblm in the gesture reading
..
I have the solution, it worked for me:
Go to the play store, and look for 'all in one gesture'
Open it and go to menu> personalize> and check restore camera key

Hi all,

I got a problem, I got my Xperia Z3 from changing the display then I've done a factory reset. 

Now my camera button (that one on the side) won't launch the camera anymore. But the button itself works in the camera app (focusing and shutter). Any ideas?
I tried that with the all in one gestures app but I cant find the setting you mentioned.
