If you want to make sure your TV is tuned to the transmitter you prefer then use the Manual Tuning option in the
Settings> Channel Set Up> Digital Set Up> Digital Tuning> Digital Manual Tuning. (maybe slightly different path on other different Sony).
First get a list of the Channel/ multiplex (mux) numbers broadcast from your preferred transmitter.

Enter your postcode and house number, press check.
You will now see a the list of transmitters that broadcast to your area, strongest first.
Look at the table for your preferred transmitter.
Each channel/ mux number is under the letter N.
Go to Digital Manual Tuning as described above.
Scan Type should be at Channel.
Select Channel Number and then input a mux number from the transmitter table.
The Signal Level and Signal Quality meters should populate.
Press Scan Up.
The TV will now search for all available channels/ broadcasts on that particular mux.
When completed you will see a list of the channels found on that mux, click on one
and you will be asked if you want to store all found channels, press Yes.
when asked if you want to continue scanning press No.
The screen returns to the Digital Manual Tuning page.
Select another mux number and follow the procedure again,
do this for all muxes broadcast from your preferred transmitter.
