Problem with menu button after android update

I've updated my phone to 4.1.2 android . Before the update, when I press & hold menu button down, i get options to bring up mini apps (timer,notes) and to swipe & close running apps.

Now after update, it brings up google app. Is there a way to customize the menu button? Any suggestions?

To get the task manager,tap twice on home.You cannot customise unless you root.

On My xperia z tab after update they have moved the menu buttons to the middle is there anyway of putting them back to the left hand side it was so much easier
