Here's the basic situation, I sent my laptop to Sony to be repaired over a month ago, I went on holiday and they kept phoning the person I had put as an alternative to talk to whilst I was away but they said they could only speak to me so when I got back I phoned them, they sorted it out, said it was on it's way and that it would be here by the end of last week, the problem is it has not arrived and I am stuck as I need my serial and product number (which are on the bottom of my laptop which I do not have right now!) to get any kind of support. What I want to know is how in gods name can I find out what is happening with my laptop?

Sorry to hear about your problems with your Vaio...
You should be able to get your serial number by logging into e-support, use the following link: e-support .
Once logged in select Manage the products you registered, then click on the + next to the model in repair and your serial number should appear underneath..
