Vaio Screen

Has anyone any idea why my Vaio FE41Z screen should have a burnt out appearance, ie the image is nearly white and you can only just make out what is on the screen. The screen will revert back to normal when it wants to, maybe for an hour or maybe for quite a few days.

try connecting your Vaio to an external monitor, do you still have the same problem.?

Are you still covered by warranty.?

Thanks for a speedy reply. Yes it does work with an external monitor, but thankfully I have just discovered that it is covered by a 2 years warranty which I had forgotten about ( good old John Lewis) and it is now in the repair centre.

It's a loose LCD connection. Had the exact same problem with my first China made VAIO. I have to turn it upside down and shake it to get it to work again. (Can't be doing much good for the harddrive)
As thalmus says an external monitor will work but that defeats the purpose of a laptop.
