Device went offline, now cannot reconnect

Hi. My gf's SP suddenly went offline while she was using it. At the time she was using Chrome with the netvibes website. A message suddenly popped up (apparently without reason) saying 'you are now working offline'.

Now we cannot access the internet at all. Facebook, browser, etc. all say 'you are offline'. All the network settings are as before, not on airplane mode, WiFi is connected. We've restarted device. Router is fine as I'm connected to it now.

Hope someone can help! Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the response, though I'm unsure how this can help. Have rebooted as you suggested and it's the same.

Does the Internet work with network data only? or is this only related to Wifi?

If its only present on wifi then you should delete the wifi and re-add it

We're abroad currently and don't have a data plan so rely on WiFi. However I briefly allowed mobile data roaming and it didn't seem to help, although that could be because it didn't find a suitable network.

Are you able to use the same wifi on your phone?

Yes, mine (HTC one) is working fine. We also just had the router restarted.

The oddest thing is the way it suddenly went offline without any prompting.

Delete that router/wifi and re-add it
