External usb storage not working

Hi all.

So i've bought a new sandisk dual USB storage thingy.  I can get it to show up in the sandisk file transfer app (memory zone) and i can see all of the files on the drive but i am unable to transfer them from the USB to my device, be it to the internal storage or the exteral micro SD card.  I can transfer from the phone to the USB but not the other way around.

Please help.

yeah I tried that and it kind of half works.  I can now send the files accross from the USB to the device but the file names are are messed up and my music player does not recognise them.  

I'm still working on a fix myself.  If you have any other thoughts that would be great.  Thanks for the link though.

@DJCruz What format is your USB storage? FAT32 or exFAT?
