Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 for UK Z3C?

Can some-one give a definitive answer as to whether an Xperia Z3 Compact purchased in the UK is quick charge 2.0 enabled before I buy a QC charger for it? According to the Qualcom website both the Z2, Z3 and Z3C are QC 2.0 capable, however checking through this forum it appears that only the Japanese variant of the Z2 and Z3 actually have QC 2.0, is this the same for the Z3C? Thanks

So that confirms it for me, the Sony UCH10 is quick charge and compatible with my Z3C.

But this is just the plug end of it, what about the cable ?

If a normal cable (ie, the one that came with my phone in the box) is no good, can anyone provide a link in the UK where I can buy one which will fully work with the UCH10 and provide Quick Charge 2.0 ?

PS:  The Sony UK site looks like they have them back in stock.

Yes, UCH10 is compatible with Z3C BUT........it doesn't charge as fast as they promised. The original cable is good enough for quick charging you don´t need to buy a new one....actually you would be very disappointed "quick charging" Z3C.

I'm professionally developing quick chargers and I´ve tested some different types of cellphones and Xperia cellphones are the worst ones in charging time.

Cables quality is important but all originals are good for this job and there is no different result between them.

Quick chargers work "talking" to Qualcomm processor and changing the charger voltage from usual 5V to 9V or 12V. I´ve never tested one in 12V, probably it is for tablets or just for future products. So, if you connect your Z3C in a quick charger you could see 9V charging voltage until 100%, after that the voltage comes back to 5V.

Indian Z3C

YES the Z3C supports QC 2.0.

I'm using the Anker Powerport+1. The Anker charger has an LED which goes from blue(standard charging) to green if the device is being charged in Quick Charge mode. The switch to quick charge happens in a split second, you don't even have to wait for 2 seconds, its INSTANT. The color changing LED is one reason why you should buy the Anker over any other QC 2.0 charger. The charger detects if the phone supports QC2.0.

Charging Speed: 1%-70% in 1 hour.  from flat to around 40% the charging rate is a little faster than 1%/minute after that its about 1% a minute. Full charge from 1% takes around 95-100 minutes which is about a 50-60 minutes less than when using the stock 1.5A charger.  This charging speed is when I use the USB port with the stock cable or my old HTC cable. I think as long as you have an OEM usb cable the charging speed won't take a hit.

The funny thing is the phone stays cool(room temp.) to touch while charging. I was worried it might heat up like crazy but that simply isn't the case.

I tried the Anker charger with my el-cheapo magnectic cable and with the el-cheapo it does not switch to Quick Charge mode.

I've read on this forum that the docking accessory should also support QC2.0 so if anyone is using the DK48 dock, please confirm that it supports QC2.0.
