I dont have a problem with 4.3 update but as soon as i connect my office network the phone goes into a reboot cycle and will go on restarting what is the solution
That's quite odd, repair your phone with SUS or PCC
Bridge (for Mac)
Alternatives on How to backup Xperias
Take it back to sony,it might be faulty.
Is it that i have to just ignore my phone and buy a new one or can there be any solution, help me out techies.
I havent got a reply from any one, i repired my handset with PCC and also SUS but no avail, its only when i connect to my office network through wifi, other places i dony have a trouble connecting through wifi. When i connect to my office network through wifi it goes on restarting without stop till i switch off my wifi, and i know this is not the solution.
just for knowledge, can you tell us, what type ok wifi is that one in your office?
ac? n? g? ... does it require certificate? does it have password protection (if yes, what kind of)?
and on your z1, what type of option do you have on/off about wifi?
Settings -> Xperia Connectivity -> Throw? On/off? if ON try to OFF (tell us)
Settings -> Xperia Connectivity -> Media server settings? On/off? if ON try to OFF (tell us)
Settings -> more -> Tethering? Portable wifi hotspot On/off? if ON try to OFF (tell us)
Settings -> more -> NFC try to OFF (let us know)
Settings -> more -> VPN any here?
And the most of the important stuff:
Settings -> Wifi -> Advanced Wifi (from the top right menu) -> which options here?
for example turn off the wifi optimization and see if it's worthy
in any case, let us know, for feedback, because maybe alexdon is right
Hi,
Thanks for the interest,
Type of wifi is n
Certificate Yes
Password No
Throw was on I switched it off no change even after that
Media server settings was off
Tethering Portable Wifi Hotspot all were off
NFC was on i switched it off no change even after that
VPN nohing
Advanced Wifi settings Wifi optimization was on i switched it off no change
all others are off.
My phone is hardly one week old, help me out if possible
so, last 2 things in my mind.
wifi is n, but on which channel?
In some other topic the sony guys said that there is some "problem" on channels >=12
So i can tell you what i think, or what i could try. But if without any solution after this, i was giving it back to the shop/support for substitution as uliwooly and alexdon told you before.
1. factory reset
2. reinstall last firmware version via SEUS (not pc companion), paying attention to have no Antivirus or other "service" working on windows environment. Also use a different usb port or, better, another totally different computer (just to give it a try).
3. after first boot, don't set anything up and factory reset
4. after this boot, don't put in any account, only the certificate you need to connect to the wifi
5. if u can switch the channel of the wifi (only if it was >= 12) put it <12... so at least 11
try now...
if it will be not working, i have 2 suggestions
1. check the certificate (with your sys admin maybe) and see if it's well formed and so on. If you have this type of problem only with that certificate and the z1 is perfectly working with every other wifi .. it's the certificate!
2. if it's not the case, give it back to substitution/support as they told to you.
p.s.: i am modifying my own answer because i didn't read weel your previous one...
for what is the certificate if no vpn there?
the certificate that the z1 can read from sd/internal memory should be use, according to the user manual, only about vpn connections
Dear Andy,
Thanks for your support i am waiting for the reply from my admin so that i can answer in detail, but i went to the sony tech support guys they simply say that if i can connect to other networks then its my network fault. i dont know how to handle this.
