Xperia E1 black screen

Hello,

I updated my Android version for the first time last week, I bought it in April (2014), I'm now at 4.4.2 and ever since then I get a black screen on my web browser, Chrome goes black instantly and Google shows search results but goes black on web sites.  I'm guessing there is either a lack of memory problem or the update has deleted something.  Should I reset the phone or what???  thanks for anyone who can give me a quick response as I'm loathe to restore factory settings.

Welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.

This could be an app issue, I suggest you try the following first.

Menu > Settings > Apps > Chrome > Clear Data.

If that does not work try this.

Menu > Settings > Apps > Chrome > Uninstall Updates.

Even I had tons of problems using Chrome and at the end I found out that it is better to uninstall all the updates of Chrome and use its oldest version if you wish to or else you can go for Firefox and Opera Mini. So try some alternatives if possible.
