Hello everyone!

We tried out a new concept where we mainly let our community assist each other with product/feature questions in the Xperia XZ Premium board and it was a success! So, let's keep it rolling. 

The purpose of this thread is to ask anything that you wish to know about the Xperia XZ1 Compact; other users owning an Xperia XZ1 Compact and forum staff will do our best to reply! 

As an example, prior to purchasing an Xperia XZ1 Compact, you may be wondering if someone has tried out a specific third party app or feature on their XZ1 Compact, and could tell you a bit more about the compatibility and functionality as the app may important in your daily life. Staff and other users can come in and reply and let you know how it works!

The goal of this thread is to help each other out as a community. We will try to moderate this thread so that any new threads with a fitting question will instead be moved here, while we of course keep support threads the way they are now.

Hi, Im trying to transfer Apps from Samsung S8 to Xperia XZ1

I've used the Xperia Transfer Mobile app to do this and its worked for everything EXCEPT the Apps !! (contacts, music etc all transferred perfectly)

My XZ1 says "Applications not supported by this device" in the Xperia Transfer Mobile.

Any help please?

Hi @DCurtis;

I don't know how it works with the Samsung but normally the apps are backed up from Google itself and when tou install the same Google account in a new device all the apps will be transfered from Google Play, that was what happened when I bought my last Sony Xperia device.

There is also the possibility that you have some apps in the Samsung that are not compatible with the Xperia so you will get that error, you can only transfer compatible apps.

Lately i have some navigation issuses with using maps from google.

Gps is  very often  ofline of searching.....

any tips?

Since I got updated my Xperia XZ1 from Android 8 to Android 9 the mobilphone once a day, worte the meassage on screen "the SIM card has been removed a restart follows" and then restarted automatically.
Who will care about that problem and solve it?

Is there any way to find out when my Compact will get the next firmware update? I have a Customized NOBA (apparently a Nordic code?) and the latest firmware is the 4.45 version - how long would it take for the Nordic countries to get the 6.30 update? I seem to notice that some Compact phones got their updates a week ago (14-16 days after 4.45), yet the Nordic ones have been stuck with 4.45 for three weeks (25 days after 4.45, and counting).

EDIT: Oh, another question. Is there any way to see the battery temperature in this phone - you know, like an inbuilt feature? I downloaded a free app for it, but it was a huge battery hog (lost 25% of battery in four hours without even touching the phone) - I had to uninstall it since it was awful. My phone sometimes gets pretty hot and I'd love to see its temperature when it does.

You can disable the quick launch button;

Open the Camera App

Press the settings Cog

press v more

Scroll to bottom of list and find "Quick Launch"

Change option from (Launch Only) to "Off"

Hi, I'm not very happy with the xz1c. While holding the phone in one hand the bottom corners dig into my hand, which makes it sore and creates an indentation mark on my skin. 

I don't know whether it's all phones or just mine? I think the problem might be the thin metal rim at the bottom which sticks out because when I compare it to the top rim, it's noticeably less smooth.

Hey!

Got problems with my phone.

Was viewing a youtube vid, suddenly it frooze the screen.  Nothing worked.

-could not use home or back buttons.

-Holding powerbutton didn't restart the phone.

-Power + vol up, did blacken the screen.

-Then Nothing.  It does not want to start up, reset, vibrate.

Holding powerbutton down, nothing

HOlding powerbutton + vol, nothing

Holding powerbutton +vol up 2 min, nothing.

adding a charger to the outlet, no respons Had 83% power when it frooze.

Removed sdcard and tried all above once again, Nothing.

What is my next step?
