After performing a software repair using Xperia Companion at the suggestion of Sony support, my Z3 Compact no longer maintains Bluetooth. It shuts off on the phone and must be manually restarted. Is there some sort of power saver setting that's now default?
This is REALLY important because I use my BT headset constantly and also connect to a cycling application for training. BT keeps shutting down in mid ride much to my disgust
Thanks for any assistance

I have the same Problem! As a danceteacher i use my handy to play my music at different places per Bluetooth. Also in the car Bluetooth is Interrupt! Horrible! Please HELP
Fund the problem: avasta Batterie saver! Deactivate Profil smart, now Bluetooth stays. Hope it helps you to.

Thanks for this...I don't see "Battery Saver" in my settings. If I can find the issue you will have my gratitude
Hey....is anyone out there? I have done a software repair. BT is once again turning on and off with no reason.
Any hints, suggestions, etc.? This is getting really irksome

I got the kiss of death from Sony Local Support in USA >>> Yes your phone is broken and no we won't fix it. Maybe (maybe???) the USA repair centers will begin accepting out of warranty phones.
NOTE: I am willing to pay for the repair of the handset. I said that from the start...don't want anything for free. I just want the devoce working
So...my phone purchased in August 2015, in for repair for a faulty motherboard and proximity sensor Feb-March 2016, is now officially orphaned by Sony.
This is pretty awful customer support....not quite United level, but I feel cheated
....and thank you (NOT) for all the assistance.
I am truly upset that Sony refuses to repair handsets in the USA unless under warranty. My Z3 Compact is less than 18 months old -- and has been swapped once -- and now ZERO options for repairing the phone
