I have an Xperia Z2 updated with android 4.4.4. When I try to take pictures at night I just get purple photos. This started just a few weeks ago out of nowhere. Let me say that the lens is not dirty nor blocked by anything. I don't have a case. I have just restored the phone today with Sony PC Companion and still the same issue. Any solutions for this...?

Still it's just a light isn't it? When we take picture on the street of xenon head light they appear blue in photos but shoudn't affect lens itself, it might be a broken film or proccessing unit. when taking a photo of a laser on the wall, the rest of the photo shoudn't be affected with red blur, you know what I mean, it's just the light as I see, the lens are clean.
Hope sony service will repair it, good luck!

Do you have a case on your Z2?
I get something similar (but not as bad) when using the flash when my case is fitted to the phone. The flash refects off the edge of the cut-out on the case back in to the lens causing loss of contrast.
If you have a case, try taking a photo with it off. If you don't have a case - make sure your fingers are well away from the flash when taking photos.

I am really disappointed with the flagship of Sony Xperia Z2 using Camera and that to my phone is not supported with LTE.
When I was purchased the phone on that box its written as LTE supported, unfortunately when I absorbed that there is not LTE option available in my phone. from the Google the Indian supply D6502 is not supported... 😞
At least I am trying to update my Os to lollipop but worrying about issues after upgrading......
What should in do now ????
