Google Chrome not working after update

I just updated my phone today (sony xperia z), since then my phone has been slower than it was and also Google Chrome is not workin, it keeps sayin. 'unfortunately chrome has stopped'.

Please help.

Settings > apps > all > chrome > uninstall updates > clear data > restart your phone > install the latest chrome udpate

Remove the chrome updates from the application manager and try to install again delete all data

Sorry one more thing I forgot, what do I do about the slow performance of the phone after the update.

Hello mate,
I tried to repair it but I didn't. The guide you gave me was perfect and easy to do but I had to do a backup first. So when I tried, I couldn't finish the backup process coz it took very long (3hrs)...it's too much.
Nevertheless I deselected notifications for lots of apps and force stopped some, now it's running ok. I'll let you know if anything changes.
