I'm sorry to hear that. Have you tried connecting more then one headset to your device? If not I would recommend that you try that. If possible try a Sony original headset with your device. Also is it a wired or bluetooth headset you are trying to connect?
If the same behavior persists with different headset I'd suggest you try and reboot your device to safe mode to see if the behavior is due one of your downloaded apps as these will be temporarily disabled in this mode.
If the behavior still persists I would recommend that you try to do a software repair using Xperia Companion to make sure nothing software related is causing the behavior.
