Hi, if any one can help me with this it would be much appreciated.
I have had my NW-HD1 Network Walkman for a few years now. I recently purchased a Vaio laptop, installed SonicStage (V 2.1), but every time I try to do anything with SonicStage I get a message saying that I do not have persmission to do anything as I am not an Administrator. But I am an Administrator so cannot understand why I cannot proceed. As a result I cannot even access my Network Walkman music through my Vaio.
Any suggestions would be very wellcome
Thanks,
Hi Vaio George Vaio and welcome to Club Vaio.
Are you using Vista on your new Vaio? What model do you have?
I do not believe SonicStage Version 2.1 is Vista compatible.
You can see the capabilities of all the SonicStage versions here: -
http://www.sony.jp/products/overseas/contents/support/information/ss_difference.html
Looks like you may need version 4.3 or newer.
Hi Belencogo, thanks for getting back to me.
My Vaio model number is VGN-NR21E and it has Windows Vista installed.
What is the best way to proceed?
Your advice would be most welcome.
Thanks and best regards.
Hi,
I would download SonicStage CP Version 4.3 for free from here: -
http://support.sony-europe.com/dna/downloads/downloads.aspx?l=en&f=sstage_dl
It says this version still supports your Network Walkman and Microsoft Vista.
The newer versions do compile libraries differently from the older versions - if you have any problems come back here and someone will fix it!!!
Good Luck.
Hi,
Version 4.3 of SonicStage did the trick!!!!!

Best regards.
